In the heart of the storm that was COVID-19, Rea Thusana emerged as a ray of light, extending its sheltering embrace to 10 unhoused women at the Church of Holy Spirit. These women, survivors of the dual battles against gender-based violence and homelessness, found solace and a fresh start within our haven. But that was just the beginning of a journey that resonates with resilience, partnership, and unwavering dedication.
Crafting Miracles through Collaboration:
At Rea Thusana, we’re not just an organization; we’re a force of change. Teaming up with Social Development and U-turn, we orchestrated a symphony of empowerment. Out of the 10 women, 7 were guided through a path of rehabilitation, skill elevation, and reintegration into society. Picture these brave souls not just surviving, but thriving in the embrace of dignified employment through the EPWP program.
